Knothole Season Begins April 17th
Games for the The 2010 District 4 Knothole baseball season will begin on Saturday April 17th and the regular season will end on June 15th. This year all teams will be eligible for a season-ending tournament that will conclude by the second week of July.

Upcoming Mariemont High School Baseball Camps & Clinics
Hitting Camp

• Saturday, March 20 at Mariemont High School

• Cost: $20 per Hitter (includes a t-shirt and clinic notes)

• Times: grades 3 & 4 9:00-10:30 am (sign-in 8:45 am – HS Cafeteria)
grades 5 & 6 10:45-12:15 pm (sign-in 10:30 am – HS Cafeteria)
grades 7 & 8 12:30-2:00 pm (sign-in 12:15 pm – HS Cafeteria)

• Hitters will receive 1½ hours of instruction from the Mariemont High School Baseball coaching staff and players. Each hitter will also receive a t-shirt and clinic notes. Please bring a bat, helmet and batting gloves to the camp. Following a discussion on the fundamentals of hitting, campers will rotate through a series of drill stations designed to emphasize the fundamental elements of hitting.

Coaches Clinic

• Sunday, March 21 at Mariemont High School

• Cost: FREE (includes a t-shirt and clinic note packet)

• Time: 12:00 – 3:00 pm

• Area Coaches are invited to spend the afternoon with the Mariemont High School Baseball coaching staff learning and experiencing the fundamentals of baseball. Topics will include: throwing and catching, hitting, pitching, and defense as well as ideas on running interesting practices. Additional discussions on team and game strategy will be included. What separates this clinic from others is that it involves active participation from the attendees. Each coach should bring a glove and bat and be dressed for activity.

Mariemont Recreation Baseball Hall Of Fame Class of 2009

The Hall Of Fame class of 2009 was inducted into the Mariemont Recreation Baseball Hall Of Fame in ceremonies held at the Bell Tower on Saturday July 11th.

Coaches Needed
We are in need of head coaches and assitant coaches for all age levels for our 2010 summer season. If you are interested in being a head coach or an assistant coach please contact Randy York at 271-8923.

Directions To Mariemont Bell Tower Ball Fields
The Mariemont Recreation Ball Fields are located just West of the Mariemont Village Square off of Wooster Pike (Route 50) and Pleasant Avenue. From I-71 take the Red Bank Road Exit to left on Madison Road to right on Plainville Road to left on Pleasant Avenue and the fields will be on your right. Field #1 (AA,A,and B) is located in the back and Field #2 (CP, D, abd C) is located near the street and north near Wooster Pike and the Play equipment. Coach Pitch games may be played at Dale Park which is across Wooster Pike from the Bell Tower Fields. From Plainville Road take a right on Chestnut Street before you reach Wooster Pike and the field is located down the hill to your left.
